Hi, I’m Paulina! I have been pet sitting for the past ten years. It was kind of a happy accident. As a teenager I was always looking for small jobs to do around the neighborhood. Occasionally people would ask me to watch their pets. Gradually those people started to recommend me to other people, and I was fortunate enough to be able to turn it into a stable career. My parents indulged my whimsy and I had pet dogs, hermit crabs, fish, & even rats. We did, however, have a two pets at a time limit. Though if I had it my way, we probably would have lived on a farm with all the animals in the world. As a pet care provider, I think I have come pretty close to achieving that dream. Because of some health issues, I began owner training my dog Baron to become a service dog. As I learned with him, I was able to start applying that knowledge to the pets I was working with. It was incredibly rewarding to have once reactive dogs start to really enjoy and have fun on their walks. So I decided to further pursue an education in animal behavior and training. In 2024 I completed a two year internship at Humane Domain. In the fall of 2025 I earned the title CPDT-KA. I am also certified in pet CPR. After my internship I decided to take Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs course to gain an even better understanding of dog reactivity. I was able to complete and earn a certificate from that. I love working with animals and helping out wherever I can to ensure both the animal in my care and the owner feel secure.
